A little bit more info about the poleshift and what it predicts for the future of Europe.

Archaeologists found that over time the people living in the valley shifted in their use of wood for fires and cooking to bundles of grasses and twigs as supply of hardwoods seemingly were depleted. Further investigation showed that wood use rose, then plummeted, then rose again. During the time it was scarce, wood was used as a ceremonial item, people brining it to wakes and other ceremonial events. (Burning of carved human figures, sacred tree plantings, etc.) There was evidence of tree cultivation taking place by the elite class and different taxa of trees found at later times."
